Well that is just peachy.

This year for Peach Days I entered the Peach Cook off. The grand prize was a free Bosch mixer.  I have really wanted one of those for a long time. I entered a new creation that I called Peach Almond Cheesecake. It is really yummy! It was not yummy enough though because I lost to Fish and Peach Taco's. Britain wanted to know why I was sad when I had gotten a big red second place ribbon. HMMMM I don't know Brit. Bosch or Ribbon. Your right my ribbon rocks!
This year they did have 38 entries so I am actually proud of myself. Here is the recipe. It is so easy I even made it.
Peach Almond Cheesecake
Mix: 15 double graham crackers, crushed
1 cube butter, melted
3 TBS sugar
Press into 9x13 pan
Mix: 8oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
3 TBS milk
Fold in one carton of cool whip and 1/2 tsp of almond extract.
Spread mixture on top of graham cracker crust.
Cube 3 larged peaches and sprinkle over cream cheese mixture.
Mash 2 more ripe peaches and add 1 cup of water, 1 cup sugar, and 3 TBS corn starch.
Cook 5 minutes until it boils.
Add 1/2 tsp almond extract and 2 TBS butter.
Pour over fresh peaches. Chill and serve.
Garnish with whipped cream and almonds.

School Days....

Mason Elyse Preschool
Britain Emma 2nd Grade
Ashton Eva 5th Grade
Chayse Elaine 7th Grade

Mason sings this cute song to me on the way to school.... "I love my Mom... UH HUH.....My Mom is cool.... But, now it's time for heading off to school." I hope it is a great year for all my girls. I guess I will have to suffer through a little alone time. Darn it!

Sew Sew Fun!

The girls are all back in school. ( I will post first day of school pics later.) As they say while the cats are away the mice will play. Look what I made with all my spare time. Kendra, Summer and I made matching outfits for the triplet cousins. Making the outfits was really fun. Being with adult women was even better. Thanks to the owner of Backstreet Design and Apparel for so generously donating XL T-Shirts to make the tops out of. You can just put it on my tab.

Chayse, the truck, and I all got really dirty. We had a great time at girls camp. But, we were all glad to get washed up too.
Cousin Shaunie, Mom and Ashton. We got to adopt Shaunie and go to the all day Activity Day Camp.
Chayse about to become an official brace face. Oh, yes I did post this on the internet. Sorry, Chayse! Well, I hope these pictures catch you up on the Johnson fam. We hope everyone else is having as much fun as we are.

How do I get myself into these messes????

When I started this week I felt really relaxed. Just home from Lake Mead everything was going great. And then I remembered the week of science fairs. And the week of Broadway Magic. And that yearbook staff applications needed to be in for Chayse. And that I was having men come install insulation in my house. And throw in my daughter wanting to be in a bunch of skits for her friends to run for student council. And extra homework needed to be caught up on. And then I decided to throw a babyshower and started making invites. And I am suppose to have a tea party ready for next week R.S.  And bills needed to be paid. Oh, and Brad Met's cousin is going to the temple tonight and we want to go to that. So, what am I doing right now???? Blogging and trying to talk myself into attempting to accomplish some of this.  I know the thought process does not make a lot of sense. The funny thing is all of this mess was self inflicted. I would load some pictures of all that is going on but, I do not have time. Maybe next week I will. That is if I have not dug another hole for myself.
