The Nightmare Before Christmas...

Rapuzel

Wilma
As much as I love Christmas this post explains how it is working out for me.
I am behind! No matter how much I try to accomplish in one day something always comes up that makes it so I can not quite complete things. For example last night Met finally put up Christmas lights, already late right, well every set of twinkle light had burnt out somewhere. I expect some to every year but, all of them come on. I blame all of this on the fact that I got my Christmas tree a week late. Never again, Thanksgiving weekend or a fake tree. We finally decorated that just this last Sunday. On a side note... Darrington Christmas Party Thursday Dec. 30th @ 6:00 PM Enterprise High School. Games, Pizza, Movies. RSVP so we have enough food. Yeah, that info is also coming in my cards but, like everything else they are late as well. Well, here is hoping you are all cheery. And in true tardy fashion I am just barely posting Halloween pictures. LAME!

Take a peak at our October

(My front door wreath.)
Our October has flew past. I just wanted to post a few highlights. I will post costume pictures as soon as I find one of Britain. Somehow I did not take one of her. BAD MOM! Good thing Aunt Kendra did.
Chayse and Ashton spent the night at Aunt Kendra's and made these cute jars. You can put candles in them and they light up. So Cute!
I found this bird cage at the DI (it was bronze) and I thought "I could make some cool Halloween decoration with that." Lindsey my friend down the street had a craft night and I put this together.
Pumpkins from Enterprise. One weekday we made a mad dash there to pick these beauties up.
The first of the month over conference weekend Met and I snuck away to Brian Head for a little R&R. This is a picture of the leaves changing colors. It was really relaxing to listen to conference in the top of the mountains.

Anyway this is just a little taste of our month.

A pirates life for me!

Ahoy and a happy Talk like A Pirates Day to all ya filthy swamp rats. We hope ya all got decked out in your finery and spent the day (Sept. 19th) sailing the seas, pillaging the food cupboards and ridding yourselves of all the landlubbers that go against the pirates code.
Two of the meanest pirates around. Pirate Mae wanted to dress like a princess. Of course she did want to have a sword in case her pirate man needed her to save him.
Dead men tell no tales. But ya can't count on an old Auntie to keep this picture off the Internet.
Yo Ho! Yo Ho! A Pirate life for me!
Thanks Saddie for another great year and starting such a fun tradition.

Now showing Happy Birthday....Starring Ashton!!!

On Ashton's real birthday we had grandparents over for lasagna and chocolate caramel toffee cake. She blew out the candles and opened presents from our family and the grandparents.
But the real party happened this weekend when 23 girls came to Ashton's Cinema 11 showing of my favorite show growing up. Click here...

Chayse and her friend Allison came and ran concessions. We had cotton candy, popcorn, candy and soda pop.
This ended up being a huge crazy-fun birthday. Just like Ashton. We rented the library conference room. It had a movie projector and surround sound. It was a huge hit!

A make over story

This is how my ugly front door looked prior to it's make over.....
This is the door knobs that I refinished with bronze hammered spray paint. (Thanks LaDawna for the tip.)
And this is my new and improved front door. Yellow and Autumn two of my favorites.
My sister's friend from back East said that they paint their front doors their favorite color so people can find their homes easier. It works I already told someone to look for my yellow door and they found me no problem. I love it!
